Mesíc
Table Lamp
Derived from the Czech word, “moon,” Mesíc is an abstract interpretation of the moon cycle we go through in our everyday lives. Not only is Mesíc a statement piece in itself, it also provides ambient lighting for the surrounding environment. This interactive piece allows the user to take control of their own “moonlight,” in which they simply tilt the lamp to turn it on and off.

SKETCHES

For this project, I knew I wanted to make an interactive lighting piece, so through ideations, I was able to find one that was minimalistic and sleek.
PROTOTYPING
To test my theory, I created a quick prototype to ensure that the vision I had in my head could actually work, and it did!
